Your mission
What you will build:
- Screening tools that read thousands of company websites and sort an M&A longlist into fits, non-fits and maybes - each with a written rationale.
- Pipelines that extract financials from annual reports, filings and data exports, validate them, and produce clean Excel outputs.
- Generators for Excel and PowerPoint deliverables along MP's style guide.
- Agent skills and workflows on our AI platform, complete with evaluation sets to measure the share of correct outputs.
- Small internal web apps including proper access control and documentation in order for others to run them.
Your profile
What we expect from you:
- Ongoing or completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in either computer science, data science, machine learning, engineering or a quantitative field. Alternatively, an equivalent track record of things you have built — please share GitHub, portfolio or demo links with your application.
- Solid Python knowledge beyond notebooks, and everyday Git: branches, pull requests, code review.
- Hands-on work with LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI or open models): prompts for structured extraction, function/tool calling, and evaluation.
- Basic understanding of REST APIs, JSON and basic SQL.
- Productive use of AI coding assistants (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor, Codex)
- Fluency in English; German or another European language is a plus.
- A genuine interest in finance, M&A and the fast-moving world of international transactions.
- Discretion: you will see confidential deal information.
