About Gateway Ventures

Beyond capital, we support founders with access to our network, strategic sparring and hands-on operational help – especially in their most critical early phase.
The Role
As an AI & Automation Working Student, you will help us identify, design and implement automations that make our daily work faster, smarter and more scalable. You’ll work closely with Product, Strategy & Operations and our Investment team, and you’ll get a very practical view into how a startup investment platform really works.

- Analyze and evaluate internal business processes to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy intelligent automation workflows to streamline operational tasks and reduce manual workload.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Operations, Portfolio Management, and Customer Success to understand requirements and deliver effective end-to-end automation solutions.

- First hands-on experience with automation or AI tools, e.g. Make.com, Zapier, n8n, MCPs, or similar.
- Basic understanding of APIs, webhooks, and integrations
- Strong analytical and structured thinking, you enjoy breaking down messy processes into clear steps and edge cases.
- German skills (min. B2): you can read and understand internal documents.
- High curiosity and willingness to learn: you like to experiment with new tools and improve things continuously.
Benefits
- Real ownership: you can drive your own automation projects from idea to implementation.
- A dynamic, ambitious environment where experiments with AI & automation are wanted.
- Flexible working hours, suitable for your studies (working student or internship setup).
