The team of the The Ritz-Carlton, Vienna is looking for a Lady or Gentlemen for the position:

Director of Rooms

As the Director of Rooms , you will be responsible for the strategic leadership and overall performance of all Rooms Division departments, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence throughout the guest journey. You will oversee the Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services, Guest Relations, Call Center, Concierge and the Club Lounge, ensuring seamless collaboration, consistency in service delivery, and adherence to The Ritz-Carlton brand standards.

In this crucial Leadership role, you will drive guest satisfaction, associate engagement, financial performance and continuous improvement across the Rooms Division. You will play a key role in shaping the hotel’s service culture, developing future leaders, and delivering memorable, personalized luxury experiences for every guest. You will report directly to the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Rooms Division Leadership & Strategy
    Provide strategic and operational leadership across all Rooms Division functions, aligning performance, goals and culture with hotel objectives and Ritz-Carlton brand standards
  • Guest Experience & Service Excellence
    Ensure a seamless, personalized luxury experience throughout the guest journey, overseeing all guest-facing operations and resolving opportunities with elegance and efficiency
  • Operational & Financial Oversight
    Manage daily operations, staffing and resources while monitoring budgets, labor costs, KPIs, and guest feedback to drive financial performance and continuous improvement
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration
    Partner with key departments to ensure aligned operations, proactive communication and flawless service delivery
  • Talent Development & Engagement
    Develop and inspire Rooms Division leaders and teams through coaching, training, performance management and a culture rooted in Ritz-Carlton values, diversity and inclusion
  • Quality, Compliance & Standards
    Ensure compliance with brand standards, policies and regulations while leading quality assurance, audits and continuous improvement initiatives

Your Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in Rooms Division or Front Office operations, with at least 3 years in a Senior Leadership role , preferably in a luxury hotel environment
  • Proven experience leading multiple departments within the Rooms Division
  • Strong strategic, financial and operational acumen with a hands-on Leadership approach
  • Exceptional Leadership, communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire teams and consistently deliver outstanding guest satisfaction
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure
  • Strong knowledge of Opera PMS and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Passion for luxury hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays, as required
  • Fluency in English and German ; additional languages are a strong advantage

The statutory gross minimum remuneration for this position, based on full-time employment, is € 2.492,00 per month. A higher salary will be offered, depending on your qualifications and experience.
