Group Expert QC Innovation for Operations (m/f/d) - Temporary

As a Group Expert QCIO, you will play a key role representing Group Quality Control (QC) in projects involving new pipeline products, the optimization of licensed products, technology transfers and continuous improvements. Working closely with stakeholders from QC, R&D and Method Validation, you will coordinate critical analytical activities and ensure successful collaboration across functions and sites. This position is ideal for someone with a strong analytical background who enjoys leading projects, building relationships and bringing people together to achieve common goals.

This is a temporary position based in Vienna, starting as soon as possible and running until 30.04.2027.

Your main tasks and responsibilities

• Drive and coordinate innovation and improvement projects within Group QC
• Act as the key link between project teams, analytical experts, Group QC Method Validation and local QC organisations
• Coordinate and follow up analytical method development, validation and transfer activities across development and technology transfer projects
• Represent Group QC in cross-functional project teams and provide quality control expertise
• Prepare and present analytical method status assessments, analytical risk assessments and project updates to stakeholders
• Drive GMP-related activities including risk assessments, change controls, SOPs and other quality documentation

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry or a related scientific discipline

• Experience with analytical methods and method validation in a GMP-regulated environment

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and sites

• Experience of coordinating projects and driving activities to completion
• Ability to work independently and navigate a global organisation with multiple stakeholders
• Fluency in German and English

• Group Innovation for QC Operations collaborates closely with other departments to support the development of new pipeline products, the optimization of licensed products, and technology transfers.
• The team combines project leadership and analytical expertise to support product development, product lifecycle activities and technology transfers
• Working closely with stakeholders across functions and sites, the department contributes to the continuous development of Octapharma's global Quality Control organisation

The minimum gross salary according to the collective agreement (chemical industry) is EUR 4,355.55 based on 38 hours per week (full-time). As we strive to offer a salary that reflects your individual profile and qualifications, there is a willingness to pay above the minimum salary.
