Platform Engineer (AI / Data Platform) - Vienna - Contract - Must speak Fluent German

For a challenging AI and data platform project in an enterprise environment, an experienced Platform Engineer is being sought. The goal is to build, operate, and continuously develop a stable, scalable on-premise AI and data platform to support data science and AI initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Setup, configuration, and operation of on-premise Kubernetes clusters, ideally with OpenShift & OpenShift AI (RedHat, UBI)
  
  
• Design and implementation of platform architectures for streaming and batch workloads
  
  
• Introduction and operation of the tooling stack:
  
  
• Quay, Artifactory
  
  
• Tekton, Jenkins
  
  
• Implementation of CI/CD and GitOps principles
  
  
• Containerization of platform and application components
  
  
• Implementation of monitoring and logging solutions (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki)
  
  
• Implementation of security and vulnerability management (containers, Python, IDEs)
  
  
• Support and enablement of data science and development teams
  
  
• Participation in AI projects (platform provisioning, operations, stabilization)
  
  
• Compliance with enterprise, customer, and regulatory requirements (e.g. policies, AI Act)
  
  

Requirements

• Several years of experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or in a comparable role
  
  
• Very strong knowledge of Kubernetes / OpenShift, ideally OpenShift AI
  
  
• Experience with CI/CD, GitOps, and container technologies
  
  
• Architectural expertise for scalable data and AI platforms
  
  
• Very good German and English skills
