The Tissue Culture Support Unit at IMBA seeks highly motivated weekend student workers (20 hours/week) to support human stem cell and organoid projects. Join a collaborative environment advancing models of human development and disease while gaining hands‑on experience with state‑of‑the‑art techniques in different research groups.

• Monitor and maintain human stem cell and organoid cultures (e.g., cardiac, brain, blastoid, gastruloid) on weekends and public holidays.
• Assist with ongoing differentiation protocols and treatments to ensure continuity of critical experiments.
• Contribute to smooth progression of research projects and laboratory workflows.

• Enrolled students in Vienna, ideally in the final phase of a Bachelor’s in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or related life sciences.
• Fast learner with strong attention to detail and enthusiasm for hands‑on lab work; confident; basic wet‑lab and pipetting skills.
• Experience with mammalian cell culture and aseptic technique is a strong advantage.
• Reliable, well organized, proactive; effective communication and documentation skills in English (written and spoken).

• Young, dynamic, and international work environment with >40 nationalities and strong collaborative culture.
• Valuable exposure to advanced techniques and emerging organoid models; potential for increased independence.
• Outstanding performance may enable a Master’s thesis within a participating group.
• After a six‑month probation period, transition to a permanent contract.
