Responsibilities
Strong support in an international 3-year basic research project focusing on radiative transfer modeling of forest variables in Central Europe (FWF-funded) o Main responsible person for field campaigns in Austria and Luxembourg o Principal responsible for the further development of RTM INFORM o Extended research stays with project partners in Germany and Luxembourg o Publishing research through the preparation and submission of journal and conference papers and participating in academic conferences
Required skills and qualifications
Doctorate degree/PhD in remote sensing, mathematics or physics o Language skills:
Excellent English, German language skills advantageous

Desirable skills and qualifications
Strong remote sensing background with a focus on vegetation analysis o Experience with hyperspectral and LIDAR data o Expertise in radiative transfer modeling for vegetation applications, preferably in the field of forestry o Very good programming skills o Strong potential for independent and collaborative research
