The Engineering Business Solutions department is responsible for full-stack development of internal web applications that support product R&D, has visibility to all the segments in the company and has a hand in the success of almost every Garmin product that goes out the door.
In this role, you will take ownership of the application infrastructure and act as the conduit between our application and various IT teams for a complex web application used by executives and senior leadership, among others.

Software Engineer – DevOps / Site Reliability (m/f/d)
BEING PART OF OUR TEAM, YOU WILL:
- Own and maintain the infrastructure, reliability, and availability of a business-critical internal web application.
- Plan and execute software releases, deployments, and major system upgrades.
- Monitor system health, manage incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines, monitoring solutions, test automation, and operational processes to improve efficiency and system stability.
- Collaborate closely with development and IT teams while documenting changes, sharing knowledge, and supporting agile project activities.
YOU HAVE:
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, plus at least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience with Linux/Unix administration, scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell), relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL), and version control systems such as Git.
- Knowledge of CI/CD and build tools (e.g., Maven, Jenkins, Azure DevOps), as well as container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with DevOps/SRE practices, automated testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Selenium), and cybersecurity best practices.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and excellent written and spoken German and English language skills.
