Job Description

About the Role

As Global Operational Excellence (OE) Deployment Lead, you will provide hands-on support, coaching, and guidance to site-level OE teams within your geographic region. You will drive the implementation of Takeda’s AGILE Operating System (AOS), helping sites optimize processes, improve workflows, and build sustainable capabilities that deliver measurable operational and cost improvements.

How You Will Contribute

  • Act as primary point of contact for site-level OE teams in your region, providing coaching and practical guidance on AOS deployment.

  • Lead the implementation of process improvement initiatives that streamline workflows and enhance operational performance.

  • Facilitate capability-building activities, training and mentoring OE practitioners to strengthen local expertise.

  • Partner with site leadership and Business Excellence teams to identify value-creation opportunities and share best practices across sites.

  • Support delivery of cost-of-production savings (target 3–5% of addressable spend per year) through OE initiatives.

  • Coordinate with network strategy, SBE governance and "Factory & Business Processes of the Future” teams to ensure alignment of improvement activities.

  • Monitor and report on deployment progress, performance metrics and realized benefits to senior stakeholders.

  • Facilitate problem-solving workshops and kaizen events to address performance gaps and embed a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Ensure OE initiatives comply with regulatory, quality and safety standards.

  • Contribute to the evolution of Takeda’s AGILE Operating System by bringing in external benchmarks and lessons learned from other sites.

What You Bring to Takeda

  • Degree in engineering, science, business or related field; advanced certification in Lean/Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) preferred.

  • Proven track record in Operational Excellence, Lean, Six Sigma or similar methodologies in a manufacturing or complex operations environment.

  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills, able to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Experience deploying operating systems or structured improvement frameworks across multiple sites or regions.

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to translate data into actionable insights.

  • Ability to deliver measurable cost and performance improvements under tight timelines.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills across diverse cultures and functions.

  • Self-starter who can work independently and navigate ambiguity while aligning with global standards.

  • Skilled at identifying, sharing and scaling best practices to drive consistency and efficiency.

  • Comfort working in a highly matrixed, global organization and collaborating across functions.
