Laboratory Technician 

Our client is seeking a Laboratory Technician (100%) to join our European Competence Center in Freienbach. Our state-of-the-art R&D facility covers the full development lifecycle of structural adhesives—from prepolymer design and synthesis to scale-up, performance testing, and industrial application. In this role, you will contribute directly to the development and commercialization of adhesive technologies supporting e-mobility and sustainable transportation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop semi-structural and structural adhesives for automotive body and battery applications

• Support manufacturing and commercialization activities in line with DuPont’s product commercialization processes

• Independently formulate, mix, and scale up adhesive recipes

• Perform performance testing and characterization according to automotive customer specifications

• Document formulations, results, and project outcomes with high accuracy and data integrity

• Prepare customer presentations and contribute to intellectual property documentation

• Collaborate closely with project leaders, manufacturing, and account managers

• Ensure full compliance with EH&S, safety, and cleanliness standards

• Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Your Profile:

• Completed training as a Laboratory Technician, ideally in chemistry or a related field

• Experience with polyurethane and epoxy-based adhesives is an advantage

• Automotive industry experience is a plus

• Familiarity with project management tools and processes is beneficial

• Self-motivated, agile, and collaborative personality with strong interpersonal skills

• Fluent German is required; English skills are an advantage

• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting
