The position entails working in an innovative work environment within the Zurich hardware technology incubation team. We are a small, agile and multi-disciplinary team forming part of the wider Apple Hardware Technology organization. With significant lab space, we are pursuing ground-breaking hardware development to enable future products and features that enrich the lives of our customers.

As a Process Automation Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and optimizing processes that support next-generation hardware innovations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including design, materials, metrology, and equipment engineering, with a focus on creating robust, scalable processes from initial proof-of-concept through to high volumes. Your responsibilities will include developing new process capabilities including equipment responsibility, planning and executing design of experiments (DOE), conducting failure mode and root cause analyses, and contributing to process integration and yield improvement strategies. Flexibility and adaptability are essential as you will be navigating in a dynamic development environment with evolving priorities. The ideal candidate will bring a unique blend of technical expertise within the area of process development, chemistry and/or material science.
