About You

The Product Manager – Finance will own how financial logic, reporting and multi-stakeholder investment workflows are built and scaled across Optiml’s platform.

You will lead the shift from static strategy outputs to execution-grade product experiences used by investment, asset and finance teams at large financial institutions. This includes defining role-specific workflows, approval logic and reporting structures that turn complex financial processes into clear, auditable and trustworthy software.

Working closely with Engineering and UX, you will translate real-world investment operations — fund lifecycles, budgeting, approvals and performance tracking — into intuitive, systems-driven product flows. You will also integrate AI where it meaningfully improves financial execution, replacing manual processes with robust, evaluated agentic workflows.

This is a hands-on, systems-oriented PM role for someone with deep financial fluency, strong product taste, and an uncompromising eye for detail — building products that sophisticated users trust with real decisions and real capital.

Tasks

Key Responsibilities

Engineering the Analytical & Reporting Infrastructure

  • Advanced Query Orchestration: Lead the implementation of a high-performance analytical query engine, enabling users to generate dynamic, multi-dimensional views across our core data and decision platform.
  • Executive-Grade Reports: Design automated reporting frameworks that distill complex metrics into rigorous, high-fidelity insights tailored for C-suite decision-making and regulatory compliance.

Systems Architecture for Cross-Functional Workflows

  • Logic-Driven User Journeys: Map and implement granular multi-persona workflows, ensuring clear state management, defined handoffs, and audit trails for task assignments and strategic sign-offs.
  • UX Clarity: Partner with designers and engineers to translate complex compliance hurdles into intuitive software flows, eliminating ownership ambiguity and operational friction through robust feedback loops.

Financial Execution & Lifecycle Integration

  • Dynamic Budgetary Logic: Extend the platform from static strategic modeling to "live" execution tracking, linking fund lifecycles directly to annual budgetary cycles and actual spend versus strategy.
  • Performance Accountability: Develop the infrastructure to monitor and report on the realization of planned projects, ensuring data flows remain synchronized between strategy and execution.

High-Stakes Enterprise Delivery

  • Stakeholder Discovery: Conduct rigorous discovery with complex enterprise organizations to deconstruct fragmented pain points into elegant, scalable product requirements.
  • Feature Scoping: Scope a unified product roadmap that prioritizes high-impact business outcomes over superficial features.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Financial Product Rigor: You have a proven track record in high-stakes environments—such as ERP, accounting, or specialized fintech platforms—where data integrity is non-negotiable and multi-stakeholder authorization flows are a core requirement.
  • Detail Obsession: You have an uncompromising eye for precision. You can spot a logic error in a DCF model or a broken state in a workflow from a mile away. You are the final line of defense for product quality.
  • Systems Architect Philosophy: You approach product development through the lens of interconnected parts rather than isolated features. You possess the analytical depth to identify critical feedback loops and make data-informed decisions within compressed cycles.
  • AI Ready: You have hands-on experience integrating AI into production-grade financial products, prioritizing high-utility agentic workflows over experimental features. You possess the technical judgment to determine which complex financial tasks are well suited for agentic support and the rigor to architect robust Evals.
  • Commercial Minded: As the architect of a new part of the product, you thrive in high-ambiguity environments. You are capable of defining the commercial business case for new capabilities and validating success through rigorous analysis of commercial and user feedback.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years in Product Management roles within leading FinTech or Accounting software companies
  • Education: Background in Economics, Quantitative Finance, Computer Science or Equivalent (with a heavy focus on finance).
  • Technical Mastery: Proven ability to map out UX flows, including state management, constraints, and clear handoff logic.
  • Financial Fluency: Deep understanding of fund lifecycles, budgetary processes, and financial modeling.
