About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich within the Food and Beverage Department in Zurich, the Rooftop Manager is responsible for leading daily rooftop bar operations, delivering exceptional guest experiences, managing and training staff, upholding luxury service standards. The Rooftop Manager reports to the F&B Manager.

As Rooftop Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Seasonal leadership of our rooftop bar from April to September

• Creating and managing rosters and holiday planning for your team

• Ensuring smooth and guest-focused operations on the rooftop floor

• Personally attending to and advising guests to create unforgettable experiences

• Leading, motivating, and developing the team, including conducting feedback and appraisal interviews

• Ensuring compliance with quality standards and professionally handling guest complaints

• Developing innovative strategies to enhance guest service and maximize sales opportunities

• Collaborating closely with other departments to optimize the overall guest experience

• Taking on seasonal projects and administrative tasks

As Rooftop Manager, we expect from you:

• Completed vocational training in upscale hospitality or gastronomy, ideally with 2-3 years of experience in a similar position

• Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a multicultural team

• High flexibility and resilience – night, weekend, and holiday shifts are part of the role

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with guests and team members

• A polished, professional appearance and confident demeanor

• Passion for outstanding service and a keen eye for trends in gastronomy

• Very good German and English skills; additional languages are a plus

• Strong computer skills and experience with POS systems
