For our customer, a leading, multinational industry group with a divisional headoffice in the Zürich area, we are seeking a Senior Quality Management Specialist Energy:
Responsibilities:
- Lead, jointly with all internal functions, the transformation to lean, leading edge, customer focused strategies for the division’s Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Technical Regulations & Standards (TRS)
- Define and implement the global QMS and TRS strategy, including documents, audit program, communication strategy and training, metrics and Continuous Improvement that drive customer experience, increased operational performance and regulatory/ISO compliance
- Develop, design and maintain a global, simplified, user-friendly QMS/TRS structure & strategy tied into the division’s overall quality strategy
- Develop and execute a robust QMS/TRS change management process to ensure full implementation of the QMS/TRS program to support continuous business improvements
- Lead and develop the division’s audit program, including development of the audit plan and audit process, and management of the audit plan execution
- Work directly with the divisional Operations & Quality Leadership team to help them fully utilize QMS/TRS and leverage it for advantage in their organizations
- Ensure that QMS/TRS is applied appropriately across the division, including adequate training, planning and implementation
- Lead QMS/TRS conformity to external standard by planning third party audits & certifications (LRQA) and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO/TS 16949 (APQP) and other regulatory requirements
- Drive the strategy for the global audit plan, execution and methodologies that deliver maximum feedback on Customer Risk and ISO/Regulatory escapes
- Perform audits regularly across the division, and serve as a subject matter expert
- Innovate and ideate methodologies to drive for greater simplification and customer focus
- Manage QMS/TRS resources by maintaining a skilled auditor pool
- Support customer interface for any QMS/TRS inquiries or presentations
- Develop a Communication and Learning Plan to seek, share, and implement best practices in an effort to drive a learning organization
- Apply Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve process capability and eliminate defects
- Manage a team of appr. 15 employees (appr. 5 direct reports and 10 indirect reports)
- Lead and facilitate cross-functional project teams to drive standardization and simplification wing-to-wing process, including provision of change leadership (Change Acceleration Process) methods and tools across assigned critical business initiatives
- Communicate teams’ progress to Business Leaders
- Educate, coach, and mentor team on Lean Six Sigma philosophy and application
Requirements:
- Bachelor in Engineering or related field
- At least 8 years experience in a multinational, producing industry group (ideally active in the energy sector)
- At least 5 years experience in quality
- Fluency in English, knowledge of other major languages will be a plus
- Experience in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO/TS 16949 (APQP) and similar certifications
- Deep understanding of QMS and TRS
- Proven track record in leading a quality organization would be a plus
- Strong operational and technical background in Repairs, Field Services, Parts, and/or Global Supply Chain would be a plus
- BB/MBB certification and/or a proven education or work history in statistical analysis of complex data and measurement systems
- Global experience implementing and influencing quality metrics
- Experience in establishing measurement systems and aligning KPIs at customer touch points (regionally/globally) would be a plus
- Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to motivate others to achieve results
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; familiar with statistics and six sigma quality concepts
- Strong commitment to change management, process improvements, and customer-focus in defining and establishing priorities
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, credibility and influencing skills
