The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain scalable systems and infrastructure for collecting, processing, and analyzing security metrics from sources.
• Collaborate with security experts across various domains (including Web Security, Memory Safety, Cryptography, Supply Chain Security, and others) to define meaningful metrics focused on measuring residual exposure and the adoption of secure-by-design practices.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of the Product Security Measurability framework and methodology, ensuring consistency and quality in metric definition and implementation.
• Build and improve tools, dashboards (e.g., integrating with platforms like (RDP/RPM), and visualizations to provide actionable insights into security posture for product teams, leadership, and security engineers.
• Analyze metric data to identify trends, potential risks, and areas for security improvement across Google's products and infrastructure.
