A while ago Spiritwalk Games approached us about some concept work and key artworks for Shardbound. Johannes Figlhuber and Simon Kopp then did environmental explorations in which they devised a style for sets that are based on a hexagonal grid but still have a natural look to them. We've worked on Halo suits before, but the Icarus armor for Halo 5: Guardians was special because the jolly folks over at 343 Industries gave us the opportunity do both, the concept and the model. The ladies and gentlemen of 343 Industries prepared an early Christmas treat with the Monitor's Bounty update for Halo 5: Guardians. We've done armor for the game before, but ICARUS is special since the developers granted us the opportunity to fully design a suit - from the concept to the final asset. The fellow devs over at Sandbox Interactive are hard at work on new content for Albion Online - and so are we! :) Some of the environmental art Airborn Studios did can be seen in the video introducing the next big update for the game. Team Airborn completed the first step of its BlizzCon trip by arriving safely. The journey's jetlag experience was rated 9.5 out of 10 sleepless nights, but the crew used the opportunity to stop by at Blizzard and visit the Overwatch team yesterday.
