As the Chief Operating Officer and a Director of Allied Container Systems Inc. (ACS), Steven Lamar manages customized urban combat training solutions for the federal government. Based in Pleasant Hill, California, ACS produces high-quality, made-to-order container structures that can serve as military training facilities, temporary shelters, medical centers, classrooms, and more. Intimately involved in the company’s financial aspects, Steven Lamar has helped to spur business development at ACS since joining the firm in 2006, with revenues nearing $100 million annually.

In addition to his work with ACS, Mr. Lamar directs operations at Jibe Audio, LLC, the maker of the Beats brand of headphones by Dr. Dre. Steven Lamar founded the enterprise in 2006 and remains at the helm as the Chief Executive Officer. Aside from his primary positions with Jibe Audio and ACS, he serves as a Director on the Board of the music software company Jammit, Inc.

Prior to this, Steven Lamar acted as a Managing Partner of BayStar Capital Management, LLC, in Larkspur, California, from 1998 to 2005. A cofounder of the firm, Mr. Lamar assumed responsibility for all stages of investment planning, execution, and management, generating a 177 percent internal rate of return (IRR) for clients. Much of his experience in institutional investing came at Shoreline Pacific Institutional Finance, where he operated as a Vice President of Institutional Sales. Steven Lamar held positions with Citibank North America and Wells Fargo early in his career and had opportunities to complete the companies’ management training programs. An alumnus of San Diego State University, Mr. Lamar graduated from the institution with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

In addition to his professional work, Steven Lamar contributes to various educational foundations and volunteers as a basketball coach at St. Hilary Catholic Parish in Tiburon, California. A father of four, he spends most of his free time with his children.
