Assurance Maritime is a Bangladesh-based practice in admiralty & casualty response, maritime claims and shipping law. We act for clients across the international shipping industry.
Established in 2009 and headquartered in Chattogram, Bangladesh's principal seaport, we work exclusively on maritime and offshore matters, combining close knowledge of local legal practice with an international outlook.
Our work covers marine casualties and emergency response, third-party liability (P&I) claims, ship arrest and release, charterparty and other transport contract disputes, cargo and transport damage claims, crew claims and ship finance and transactional work.
We act for shipowners, charterers, managers and operators, P&I Clubs, H&M underwriters and Defence Clubs, marine and energy insurers, cash buyers, transport intermediaries, ship-finance banks, brokers, salvors, international law firms, port authorities and government bodies. We have represented clients from more than 50 jurisdictions and handled over 150 ship arrest and release matters.
Our team brings together specialised shipping lawyers and experienced master mariners, so that advice is grounded in shipboard realities as well as in the legal frameworks governing world trade.
