In den vergangenen Jahren haben sich autonome mobile Roboter (AMRs), wie der Tugger von AutoGuide Mobile Robots, als sichere und effiziente Alternative zum traditionell manuell ausgeführten Materialtransport etabliert. AMRs, die sich eigenständig auf vorgegebenen Wegen fortbewegen, sind zum Großteil mit Lidar-Sensoren ausgestattet und nutzen die Environment-Mapping-Technologie zum Kartieren des jeweiligen Betriebs in Echtzeit.
