Founded in 1954 by James McLamore and David Edgerton in Miami, Florida, BURGER KING® has grown to become the second largest fast food hamburger chain in the world. In the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region itself, we employ over 10,000 people - from Tromso, Norway to Turkey. 

Our business has been built on the quality of our food and the resilience of our franchising system. Approximately 95% of our restaurants are owned and operated by independent franchisees, many of them family-owned operations that have been in business for decades.
