Burwood Student Living (BSL) is Burwood's leading independent student accommodation provider. Our high standard has been consistently recognised by students and peers who found us to be the most comfortable, secure, and affordable home away from home. Students get more than just a room - they become part of the diverse Burwood Student Living and Deakin community. Burwood Student Living owns and manages nine properties, all of which are a light 10-15 min walk from the university campus' main entrance. We have three residential managers available 24/7 in case of emergencies.

We are primarily a long-term serviced accommodation with a minimum stay of 6 months, and offer longer contracts at normal rent rates. We also cater for shorter periods for Exchange and Study Abroad students, who're staying for one trimester. This is to operate as an exclusive Deakin University students serviced housing. All houses are fully furnished, have central gas heating; and most of them have air conditioner/s or Evaporative Cooling Systems. They additionally have lockable rooms, homely living areas and car parks at no extra cost.

Each of our houses is registered with the local Whitehorse City Council, compliant with the Residential Tenancies Act and the standards and tenets of Consumer Affairs of Victoria. Each property is fully insured. We also have a local psychologist for students who may need a one-om-one talk and we carry First Aid qualification.

Burwood Student Living proudly offers a community sense approach where all our students are networked, so they can team up for: studying, working, walking, going to town, gym, playing music or sharing other interests. Once you’ve been to our “Welcome BBQ with live music”, offered twice a year, in February and July, with your Network Listing, you are free to visit your neighboring houses to start building your BSL networks and engage in rewarding new friendships.
