Was ist eigentlich eine Auftragssynthese? Was macht ein cCRO? What is custom synthesis? What is a cCRO? FAQ ChiroBlock

What is custom synthesis? Custom synthesis refers to the exclusive synthesis of chemical compounds on behalf of a customer. Instead of purchasing standard catalogue chemicals, custom synthesis allows you to order a specific molecule that is produced only at your request — in the exact quantity, purity, and specification you require. In this video, we explain what custom synthesis is, how it works, and why it plays a critical role in research, development, and industrial chemical production. Custom synthesis means that a compound is synthesized on demand, according to clearly defined parameters such as: Molecular structure Scale (milligrams, grams, kilograms, or tons) Purity requirements Analytical methods and specifications Regulatory or quality standards (e.g. cGMP vs R&D material) A key difference between custom synthesis and catalogue chemicals lies in flexibility and control. Catalogue chemicals are produced in advance with fixed specifications and limited customization. Custom synthesis, by contrast, is tailored to the customer’s exact technical, analytical, and regulatory needs. There are also important sub-categories within custom synthesis, including: Gram-scale custom synthesis for research and early development Kilogram or ton-scale custom synthesis for industrial or commercial use Custom synthesis of R&D samples versus cGMP-compliant materials Route development and process optimization High-purity or impurity-controlled synthesis Understanding these differences is essential when selecting a custom synthesis partner, as requirements for laboratory samples differ significantly from those for production-scale or regulated materials. This video answers common questions such as: What is custom synthesis in chemistry? How does custom synthesis differ from catalogue chemicals? When do you need custom synthesis instead of standard chemicals? What are the differences between gram-scale and ton-scale synthesis? What is the difference between cGMP material and R&D samples? If you work in chemical research, pharmaceuticals, specialty chemicals, materials science, or industrial R&D, custom synthesis is often the most efficient and reliable way to obtain compounds that are not commercially available or that require precise specifications. Key takeaway: Custom synthesis provides full control over molecular identity, purity, scale, and documentation — making it essential for advanced research, development, and manufacturing applications.

What if scientists made a further substantial contribution to the fountain of youth? Apart from a healthy life style, also the supplement/administration of some natural compounds, especially members of the so called alpha hydroxyl carboxylic acids, were proven to support cells youth. One prominent member of this compound class, isocitric acid, could not yet unfold its respective potential because of lacking economically feasible production processes. This bottleneck was removed by several resear...
