There is an increased tendency to expand the scope of criminal law into business related areas, mirrored in the creation of more and more specialised criminal offences, and an increased activism of the investigation services, requiring equally specialized legal expertise to ensure that procedural guarantees and fundamental rights are always observed and the business environment is not obstructed.

We are EU attorneys. We have very good knowledge of European rules and instruments and we are exploring how EU Law could be applied to every single case we have, to the benefit of our clients. There is still not enough awareness of the fact that, since 1 January 2007 - the date of Romania’s accession to the European Union, a new legal system applies, establishing rights for citizens and companies. There is still reluctance on behalf of the Romanian Courts to fully and directly enforce EU law. Remedies provided by the European legislation are still very little known. So is fact that not only EU Courts are responsible for enforcing EU legislation, but primarily National Courts. We try to overcome these shortcomings, based on solid knowledge case-law and argumentation, defending the rights of the EU citizens and companies.
