Cleanhearing is a medical device startup and the manufacturer of Sono, a new Class IIa medical device and evidence-based approach to tinnitus treatment and management. Sono is suitable and approved for most cases of diagnosed tinnitus, including chronic tinnitus. Benefits reported by patients include reduced tinnitus noise, reduced tinnitus frequency, and improved sleep and mood.

Sono consists of specialized headphones operated by a handheld controller. The headphones apply gentle pulses of electromagnetic stimulation over the auditory areas to target underlying tinnitus contributors. To use Sono, patients simply sit comfortably, put on the headphones, and follow the prompts on the controller touchscreen. Therapy is recommended twice per day for up to 20 minutes per session.

Patients can use Sono at home independently, under the guidance of their doctor or audiologist. Sono integrates easily into your practice as a standalone treatment or complement to other compatible therapies.
