It all started when two friends got sick of destroying our hats and helmets with stains and odors. We tried everything we could find: sprays, racks, washing machines, dry cleaners; all with less than spectacular results. Another friend even recommended the dishwasher - let's just say that my white hat is still a very bright shade of green. After years of frustration, we decided "there's got to be a better way."

We came up with the idea of a universal head liner to keep all our head gear clean and keep sweat out of our eyes. One that would fit comfortably under all of our head gear but still be great on it's own too. We searched online and in stores but had no luck. We found skull caps, bandannas, helmet liners, sweat bands - you name it, but surprisingly we could not find a universal head liner that keeps head gear clean. Being very active individuals, we quickly realized the value this product would have for athletes and workers everywhere.

We knew that we would need a unique design to get the job done right so we started by teaming up with athletes from around the country to find out what everyone was looking for in a liner and in a sweatband. Our initial research indicated that everyone wanted a liner that was thin, durable, and breathable, but most importantly everyone wanted better protection against stains, odors and sweat in their eyes. As one of our pro athletes once said "If the sweat gets in your goggles when your racing, it's all over".

We spent thousands on research & development and countless hours in the field, cutting no corners along the way. After years of extensive laboratory testing with hundreds of fabrics and prototypes, CrownWear Head Liners were finally born.
