Da An Gene Co., Ltd. of Sun Yat-Sen University is a high-tech enterprise that is oriented in molecular biology and committed to both R&D and production of biomedical test kits and medical equipment. Da An Gene's medical test kits have been used in more than 1,500 big hospitals and occupied 70% market share in China. DA7600, the real time quantitative PCR system developed by Da An, has been widely used in medical labs and quality control center of hospitals and companies.

The company’s main activity is focused on the research, development and application of fluorescence polymerase chain reaction (PCR) detection technology and the manufacture and sale of fluorescence PCR detection reagents and medical equipment. Da An Gene produces more than 40 kinds of PCR diagnostic kits used for detecting hepatitis, venereal disease, pneumonia, hereditary diseases, genetic disorders, tumors and SARS-coronavirus.

The headquarter of Da An Gene is located in Guangzhou Science Park, Guangzhou, China. It consists of an office building, a scientific research building, and class 10,000 and class 100,000 clean manufacturing workshops. It also hosts the base of the National High-tech Industrialization Demonstration Project, which covers an area of 27,156㎡, with a 16,150㎡ construction area. The base is equipped with various advanced scientific research instruments and production facilities. The company's medical reagent production capacity has reached 20 million tests per year.
