Serving residents of Chesterton, Indiana, Fairhaven Baptist Church is directed by Pastor Roger Voegtlin. The church emphasizes the importance of the Bible as a spiritual authority to its congregation. Independent from national membership, the church and congregation is locally oriented. Fairhaven Baptist provides weekly worship services, outreach ministry, charity drives, and Bible study classes for all age groups. Founded in 1970 by Dr. Voegtlin, Fairhaven has grown substantially over the years. Within eight years, over 5,600 parishioners attended the church. The pastor, his staff, and the congregation strive to live lives rooted in biblical principles. Many members have attested to the impact that spiritual guidance and fellowship has had on their lives.

Beyond the church campus, Fairhaven Baptist also features a college and academy. Dr. Roger Voegtlin serves as President of Fairhaven Baptist College and provides young adults with the necessary education and platform to further their goals in ministry and Christian living. The college, founded in 1977, hosts a large faculty that provides instruction in diverse subject areas. Students are offered course work in teaching, ministry, theology, and programs are available for certifications in Bible studies. Many students utilize intramural sports programs and missionary work opportunities provided by the institution. Fairhaven Baptist hosts an academy which provides a Christian education alternative to public schools for Chesterton-area residents. Curriculum is centered on biblical instruction and traditional subjects such as mathematics, reading, history, and science. With a focus on individual attention, the student-to-teacher ratio is 10:1.
