first METROPOLITAN® is a PC manufacturer (ODM) headquartered in Germany which has developed its first product, the SmartMobilePad®, to production stage. The device runs Windows 7 and is the first slate tablet which has gained the Microsoft certification „Compatible with Windows 7“. This promises business users a seamless integration into existing Microsoft IT infrastructures.

The SmartMobilePad® shows a high quality finish and is well suited for the application as a mobile information and communication solution for professional users.

With the familiar Windows 7 interface, the SmartMobilePad® is ready to use for everyone. The device supports across platforms all browser-based runtime environments for the retrieval of high quality, interactive applications and multimedia (Silverlight, Flash). The use of the device becomes a new experience due to the very high reaction speed of its touch screen. The quick adaption of employees to the SmartMobilePad® leads to a seamless integration in existing IT structures. Throughout its product lifecycle, the device yields an excellent value for money.

The heart of the SmartMobilePad® is the Intel Atom processor N4xx. The additional 2 GB RAM memory and the fast internal 16 GB SSD flash drive ensures that any enterprise application runs smoothly on Windows 7, especially while multitasking.

The SmartMobilePad® features a 1.3 MP camera, 3G, Wifi, (IEEE 802.11b/g/n), Bluetooth, 1 mini-HDMI and 2 USB ports.
