Weltreporter consists of 39 German correspondents in 30 different countries. We mainly work for German media, but many of us also write in English. A complete list of members is on our German website. For English-language commissions please contact authors individually.

Casanova said that "love is three-quarters curiosity", which sums up our approach as foreign correspondents. We are naturally curious about people & places, what’s new & unexpected, and finding new angles in familiar territory. For news and stories behind the news - from Tokyo to Kabul, from Moscow to Sydney, from Mexico to Manila - a local Weltreporter is always on call.

We are curious about foreign places, and strive to explain unfamiliar events and worlds to our readers/audiences - beyond exotic stories, we’re interested in daily life and our common humanity.

Weltreporter.net is the first global network of freelance correspondents reporting for German-language magazines, newspapers & broadcasters; and also English-language publications & radio (BBC, Al Jazeera & The Art Newspaper).
