I specialise primarily in editorial design and also branding and new media – providing communication services in a world where the boundary between on and offline communication is disappearing. ¶ I have a real passion for visual communication techniques that facilitate the exchange of information from media to end user. ¶ I use graphic design to communicate information in a cutting edge, creative fashion but taking care not to let my designs obscure or confuse core messages. ¶ A motif that binds my work is a career-long love of grid systems, generous amounts of negative space, taut composition, minimalism and typography ¶ I am able to create innovative websites, branding & collateral, magazines, books, brochures, newspapers & newsletters from concept to finalization. ¶ I can manage the entire print and production process, from sign-off of creative, to delivery of product. ¶ I can come into your organisation to to train, manage and lead design teams to maintain the consistency of the above. ¶ My broad understanding of editorial structures, pace and visual devices can enhance your existing media products – as can my keen awareness of typography, photography, illustration, composition and appropriate colourways.
