ORPALIS is specialized in automating large-scale document-based processes and document imaging. We have over 12 years of experience in the document imaging, document management and image processing domains and we provide high quality SDK and software for developers and end-users. ORPALIS is located in the South West of France, near Toulouse.

Our history:

Since 2003 ORPALIS has developed several products which are now worldwide bestsellers and cover all major industries. 

We aim to manage every step of a digital document lifecycle, from its acquisition to its storage, by improving processes through innovation.  

·  2003: Creation and first release of GdPicture, our first document imaging SDK. 

· 2009: First release of GdPicture.NET. 

· 2011: Beginning of a line of products for the general public with the release of PaperScan Scanning Software. 

· 2012: Release of a powerful PDF compression software for the general public and for developers, ORPALIS PDF Reducer. 

· 2013: Two free tools are made available, Virtual Barcode Reader (reads and decodes more than 20 barcodes types) and ORPALIS DICOM Viewer (WPF program for medical imaging). 

· 2015: The first version of DocuVieware, our universal HTML5 Viewer and Document Management Kit, is released along with the free edition of ORPALIS PDF OCR software

ORPALIS has been recognized and certified as Young and Innovative Company by the French Ministry of Research in 2013. This certification is delivered with a grant to companies dedicating a significant part of their activity to scientific work.  Research work is the necessary condition to build powerful, reliable and innovative products like our GdPicture and DocuVieware SDKs, which help thousands of organizations with their ever growing needs for document imaging, image processing and document management.
