In development since May of 2008, the Global Carbon Co-op (Co-op) was proudly founded in 2011 to be a true Cooperative. The Co-op utilizes the power of the internet through its Website (www.GlobalCarbonCo-op.com) creating a Global “Professional Network” and online “Think-Tank” for the International Carbon Industry. This website is the conduit in which leading like-minded and goal-oriented Innovators, Scientists, Engineers, Investors, Agriculture Professionals, Health Physicists, Environmentalists, Educators, Media, Carbon Industry Representatives, Corporations and the general public can interact efficiently and productively within the Global Carbon Community.

The Co-op has been designed to leverage the power and reach of the Internet as well as strategic “grass-root” business relationships to allow individuals, educators and representatives of private, public, and not-for-profit organizations anywhere in the world to have access to:

A full range of online information associated with the Carbon Industry, related fields and communities, including news articles and live webcasts of major scientific events and breakthroughs in technology.

An online think-tank for compiling information for the development of protocols and methodologies via the study of scientific data related to carbon.

CO-OP MEMBERSHIP

The Co-op Website offers Corporate, Individual and International membership-based news as well as scientific and educational editorial content and related services. Additionally, the Website accommodates Sponsors and Advertisers by granting various levels of participation within the site.

The Co-op Website provides access to free Basic Content for general site visitors while providing Corporate, Individual and International Members access to Premium Content, private discussion forums and other special features. Global Carbon Co-op's Basic and Premium Content will include original articles created by staff writers, features contributed under contract by renowned international strategists, scholars and scientists affiliated with various Members, and licensed features from third parties.

Corporate & Individual Members: The Global Carbon Co-op’s Corporate and Individual Members are owner-participants of the Co-op and have exclusive access to technical publications, industry related Blogs and other proprietary information related to their respective fields. Corporate and Individual Members are issued stock in the Co-op upon registering on the Website and have full access to website content. Corporate and Individual Co-op Members benefit from having the ability to vote and therefore direct membership dues to projects, advertising, research & development and other interests related to the Carbon Industry. Corporate Members vote for Corporate Member submitted projects; Likewise, Individual Members vote for Individual Member submitted projects.

International Members: International Companies and Individuals (Non-US) may be members of the website only and do not participate in the benefit of being a Corporate and Individual Member of the Co-op. International Members have the right to vote for direction of International Member Dues in their respective Country of Citizenship/Company Registration.
