As the result of frustration with the cost and complexity of existing log tools, Graylog began in Hamburg, Germany as an open source project in 2009 to meet the needs of Application Development, DevOps, IT Ops, Networking, and Security teams. Since that time, Graylog has grown to over 40,000 installations worldwide, established a global headquarters in Houston, Texas, and has introduced a very robust enterprise product set.
