iBehave Network
Empowering Behavioral neuroscience with modern computing
iBehave is an interdisciplinary network that aspires to understand the brain architecture, activity and functional abnormalities in normal & disease conditions and use behavior as the ultimate readout. In other words, iBehave can be described as a network of unique expertise – offering strong basic neuroscience research, computational neuroethology, clinical neuroscience and artificial intelligence and visual computing to understand animal behavior across a variety of species.
iBehave brings together a world-class group of scientists who will work across disciplines and species to study behaviors relevant for survival, and their underlying neuronal networks. To achieve these goals our research groups bring a unique combination of experimental, computational and comparative approaches to unravel the question of how the brain controls behavior across species.
Facts: iBehave Network is composed of 6 Partner Institutes and 49 Principal Investigators 9 PostDocs and 17 PhDs students. The number of PostDocs and PhDs is growing as we are hiring highly motivated researchers.
Partners of iBehave network: Uni-Klinikum Bonn, University of Bonn (UoB), University of Cologne (UoC), RWTH Aachen University, Research Center Jülich, German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases in the Helmholtz Association (DZNE), Max Planck Institute for Neurobiology of Behavior.
