Impact Consulting was born out of a need to support socially conscious organisations and young professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic. For non-profits, many organisations found their fundraising hit rock bottom, as many loyal donors began to withdraw their support. Whilst for social enterprises and start-ups, many found their core customers reduce their spending, in order to protect their own personal finances. Simultaneously, as unemployment figures skyrocketed, most students and young professionals found it incredibly difficult to gain real-world work experience. Amidst this crisis, we identified an opportunity to tackle both of these issues at the same time. By providing these social impact organisations with support offered by volunteers, we could provide much needed support to charities and businesses, whilst providing students and young professionals with opportunities to gain hard to find real world experience. Established in October 2021, the Munich Hub now actively provides the necessary consulting support to non-profits and startups that support the UN sustainability goals within the local Munich community.
