Who is JCS Solar?

JCS Solar GmbH is a vertically integrated photovoltaic manufacturer with a complete production chain including Ingot casting, Silicon wafer fabrication, Photovoltaic cell manufacturing, Solar Modules and Inverters. JCS’ production facilities are based in the city of Yichang, Hubei province, China. With the Sales and Marketing Headquarters in Shanghai, China, a logistics hub in Antwerp, Belgium, and the European Sales office in Munich, Germany, JCS Solar focuses on key solar markets in Europe and Asia.

JCS Solar GmbH is a subsidiary of the JZ Group. Established in 2002, the JZ Group is a diversified conglomerate with a portfolio including renewable energy component manufacturing, real estate development in Asia, building materials production, agricultural holdings, business consultancies, and logistics concerns.

Why Vertical Integration?

Photovoltaic energy is an increasingly competitive industry historically dependent on government support and incentives to drive growth and enable investment in higher cost alternative energy solutions. As the overall industry strives to achieve grid parity with traditional forms of energy (Oil, Natural Gas, Coal), a continuous reduction of component costs is imperative. Vertical integration is a logical and necessary step in this ongoing cost degression. Over the past 2 years, the global PV market has experienced significant downward component pricing, contributing to reductions in government incentives, sometimes linked to stringent, inflexible supplier contracts. This combination of factors placed downstream companies at great financial risk as they were forced to manage large inventories and inverted cost to sale value of their stocks.

JCS Inventory at Customer Customer only pays for a % of a container.

JCS maintains ownership of balance of container. Inventory on hand and ready for fast retail transactions.

Conserves cash flow till actually inventory is sold.

Contractual Price range option within any given order Within a 60 to 90 day period, contract provides for market price adjustments on Consignment inventory.

JCS willing to reclaim or transfer unsold inventory. Confidence that supplier and partner share the risk of unexpected or rapid shifts in Module pricing.

Additionally, JCS Solar GmbH will provide project financing for specific Turn-Key installations on a case by case basis.

What is JCS Solar’s Product Portfolio?

JCS Solar produces and distributes Solar Cells, Solar Modules, and Inverters.

Solar cells are at the core of JCS’ module technology. Using Premium quality 9-N Poly-silicon, JCS makes 125 and 156 mono-cSi solar cells with efficiencies up to 19%, 156 poly-cSi solar cells with efficiencies up to 17.6% and poly-like c-Si cells with efficiencies up to 18.4%. JCS uses thorough production processes, consistent quality control and performance optimization measures to ensure reliability and high bin class output.

JCS produces a range of PV modules to cover all market segments including mono c-Si, poly c-Si, poly like c-Si, and black and transparent modules for rooftop and BIPV solutions. All modules carry a standard 10 year product and workmanship warranty, an enhanced 25 year performance output warranty, and competitive specifications including positive output tolerances (0-3%), and industry leading module efficiencies. All JCS modules hold standard ratings for wind loads, up to 2.4kPa and snow loads of up to 5.4kPa. With weather protection packaging and a special seal on the distributor boxes, JCS modules are engineered with high confidence to perform at or above their certified specifications for and beyond the lifetime of their warranties.
