Leadership Artist: Briding Paradoxes

Everyone agrees. Nothing moves.

The Leadership Artist is a consultancy for top management teams facing conflicting objectives. Legitimate demands pull against each other, and no agreement changes that. The tension is no one's fault, and it can be worked with.

The work does not resolve paradoxes and does not moderate them away. It keeps them navigable, through a decision logic that gives each demand its own language, clear ownership and a signal for when it takes the lead. The pressure does not disappear. It becomes workable.

It starts with a non-binding initial conversation. If conflicting objectives are at the core, a 90-minute tension analysis follows, with a written finding on who expects what, where these expectations collide and what that blocks. Two further steps build on it, each self-contained: the Paradox Navigation Concept, a written decision logic with next steps and communication recommendations, and Paradox Navigation Sparring, four 60-minute conversations per month.

It is designed for managing directors, division heads and leaders with direct access to the decision level.

The foundation: founder Jörg Malang led organisations through transformation and restructuring at C-level and SVP level for more than twenty years, including at Kelkoo, XING, Betsson and DERTOUR. He is an Executive PhD candidate at Antwerp Management School, where he researches the cognitive foundations of how leaders navigate paradoxes in organisations. His first studies were in music; the name tells that story. It is neither a method nor a metaphor.
