What is the worst environment possible for an encoder? A cold rolling steel mill may not be the absolute worst place, but due to the extremely corrosive conditions, it is still pretty bad. Not even an encoder in anodized aluminum is expected to last more than a year here. That is far from the lifetime a Leine Linde customer expects. This is the solution we came up with.
