The Max Planck Foundation for International Peace and the Rule of Law provides assistance to countries and societies in transition or conflict. Its core areas of work include constitutional reforms, implementation of public international law, judicial reforms, legal education and research, transitional justice, and anti-corruption. Peaceful change, sustainable development and the fostering of the rule of law are core objectives for the Foundation in its endeavours. Through jointly developed and implemented projects, the Foundation assists its local partners to overcome structural deficiencies, transfer knowledge and, ultimately, to increase the well-being, prosperity and personal freedom of citizens in countries around the world.
