Maywater Limited was founded in March 2011 by seasoned compliance expert Stefan Hacker, who is well-connected in the London compliance community and internationally.

Prior to founding Maywater, Stefan held a number of senior compliance roles in the UK and abroad at firms such as Lehman Brothers, Barclays, Newedge Group, and Pimco. Previous assignments included overall responsibility for compliance (and AML and Legal) for certain jurisdictions, where Stefan was registered with the relevant supervisory authorities.

In all these four main areas our services cover all aspects of regulatory compliance at all types of investment firms. This includes: regulatory reporting, transaction reporting, client money handling, front office advisory, compliance with currency restrictions or exchange rules, monitoring, regulatory analysis, strategy, policies and procedures, training, getting authorised by the FSA or other authorities, passporting, crossborder initiatives, geographic expansion, s166 reports, preparation of and assistance during FSA visits, etc. Firms we work with include investment banks, brokers, asset managers, hedge funds, private equity/venture capital firms, corporate banks, spreadbetting firms, etc.

We consider assignments worldwide. So far, most of our assignments tend to be in London, where we are based.
