Die Melecs EWS GmbH ist - mit einem Umsatz von 313,9 Millionen Euro und über 1500 MitarbeiterInnen - der größte Elektronikentwicklungs- und Fertigungs-Dienstleister (E2MS) mit österreichischen Wurzeln und verfügt über mehr als 25 Jahre Erfahrung. Melecs bietet alles aus einer Hand: von Entwicklung, Engineering und Projektmanagement über Industrialisierung und Produktion bis hin zur Logistik.

Vor über 12 Jahren wurde das Werk in Siegendorf/Burgenland errichtet. Im Jahr 2011 expandierte Melecs EWS und eröffnete eine Niederlassung im ungarischen Győr. Für die Betreuung globaler Kunden wurde 2016 ebenfalls ein Produktionsstandort in Wuxi/China errichtet. Außerdem wurde der Unternehmenshauptsitz in Siegendorf/Burgenland im Jahr 2017 modernisiert und erweitert. Im Frühjahr 2018 erfolgte mit der Neueröffung eines eigenen Vertriebsbüros in Auburn Hills/Michigan der Markteintritt nach Nordamerika. Zudem wurde Melecs EWS Ende 2018 zu 70% Mehrheitseigner von Prettl Electronics Querétaro, S.A. de C.V. und übernahm die unternehmerische Führung dieses Unternehmens in Mexiko.

Elektronische Komponenten von Melecs findet man bei Steuergeräten und LED-Anwendungen in Autos internationaler Premium-Hersteller ebenso wie in Haushaltsgeräten (Waschmaschinen etc.) des europäischen Marktführers. Neben maßgeschneiderten Produkten und Lösungen für die Bereiche Automotive Control Systems, Automotive Lighting & Interior und Home Appliance Systems entwickelt und produziert Melecs auch Elektronikbaugruppen und ganzheitliche Lösungen einschließlich Gerätemontage für den Bereich Industrial , wie etwa Steuerungen für Rolltreppen oder energieeffiziente Heizungsanlagen.

In der hochautomatisierten Fertigung der Elektronikwerke in Siegendorf/Österreich und in Győr/Ungarn werden elektronische Baugruppen und Geräte in mittleren und hohen Stückzahlen produziert. Ein eigenes Testlabor am Standort in Győr ermöglicht Melecs eine schnelle und zuverlässige Prüfung von Produkten in der Produktentwicklung, Produkt-Validierung und Massenproduktion.

In addition to tailor-made products and solutions for the automotive, automotive lighting & sensors and white goods sectors, Melecs also develops and manufactures electronic assemblies and integrated solutions, including equipment assembly for the industrial sector , such as escalator controls or energy-efficient heating systems.

In the highly automated production of the electronic plants in Siegendorf/Austria and in Győr/Hungary electronic assemblies and devices are produced in medium and high volumes. An in-house test lab at the Győr site enables Melecs to quickly and reliably inspect products in product development, product validation and mass production.
