Background
The Miriam Logistics Ltd. was formed in 2013. as successor of Miriam consultancy that was established in 2007., recognizing the need of specialized services related to dangerous goods and other special cargoes in the region. For last nine years we managed to build up a highly capable and professional team of twelve permanent staff and seven members of mobile team. Constant training and expirience is guarantee for top level of services that we offer. Considering the nature of goods that we are handling we are committed to provide smooth flow of cargo with great care and discretion, respecting all international regulations. The financial and operative transparency towards our clients is a key to successful partnership.
Dangerous goods
We are specialized for logistical services in dangerous goods transportation in all modes of transport. Our staff is fully qualified and trained to perform all tasks regardless of their current position and we have all operational capabilities to satisfy our clients needs including Identification, packing, marking, labelling and documentation. The emphasis of the company is to provide complete dangerous goods logistics service to the customer.
Freight forwarding / Custom clearance
We also act as frieght forwarder and we are in possession of Airwaybills from all Operators flying out of Zagreb, providing also imoprt and export custom clearance, obtaining exemptions, transit licences or any other required governmental permission needed.
We also organizing charter flights using world top agencies and operators, where we also prepraing all documentation and supervising loading/offloading of the aircraft.
Consultancy
A team of Dangerous goods safety advisors and Dangerous goods coordinators is currently supporting over 30 companies in the region providing on-time and updated information on transport of dangerous goods by all modes of transport. Once a year we are holding free of charge, dangerous goods conference delivering news from regulatory bodies.
Dangerous goods training
Miriam Logistics Ltd. is fully recognized training center providing dangerous goods training in the region. Our Dangerous goods by air - training programmes are in accordance with ICAO, made as per IATA standards. Above the standard category personnel training defined by ICAO/IATA we also create custom made programmes for specific duties, class or UN number. We do train shippers, freight forwarders, operators and designated postal operators, and are highly accepted by our customers due to large operational and training exprience of our instructor and the fact that we provide also support to governmental institutions in DG working groups, so we have an early insight of forthcoming changes.
We also provide in-house training for transport of dangerous goods by road and rail, for specific function duties, such as loaders, dispatchers, fillers, etc.
Road transport
With our fleet of five vehicles and two sub-contractors we performing exclusive transport for our clients carrying:
· Explosive substances and articles
· Pesticides and other chemicals
· Radioactive materials, all categories and tzpe of sources
Our drivers are trained to perform packing on the spot, fully equipped with necessery materials and we are in possession of EU transport licence.
Mobile team
The purpose of the mobile team is to be deployed for short or long term tasks in the field, mainly preparing cargoes for charter lights or bulk containers. Expirienced teamleaders are driving force for such operations.
Our mobile team also using our SOLAS VGM licence in order to comply with latest international regulations.
Waste management and transport
The waste managment and transport is not in scope of our main activities, but it is used as to close the service circle for our clients. However, we do offer and are capable of full service in this area including hazard declarations, waste transport documents, annual reports and laboratory analyses.
