     Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) is the only comprehensive research-oriented global university with training, scientific research and social services in the fields of aviation, aerospace and marine science in China. It is affiliated with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It was one of the first universities to enter into the 211 Project in 1995 and the 985 Project in 2001. In 2017, it entered the ranks of national “first-class universities” (Class A).

    NPU’s Taicang Campus is a new career growth pole in the Yangtze River Delta region aiming to establish a "new engineering, new direction, international, modern" campus. The campus will closely focus on the national strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education, being at the forefront of disciplines, bringing together the foremost experts, cultivating first-class talent, and incrementally building up the fields of civil aviation, cyberspace security, intelligent manufacturing, new energy and new materials, artificial intelligence, software and microelectronics.
