The furniture from the collection "reclaimed - living in harmony with nature" are handmade uniques. Not a single tree is cut for the production. All furniture from this series, which includes lounge sofas, chairs, bar tables, bar chairs etc. are genuine up-cycling products, based on the concept of „cradle-to-cradle“. C2C is a biomimetic approach to the design of products and systems. It models human industry on nature's processes viewing materials as nutrients circulating in healthy, safe metabolisms. The furniture is made from 60 to 100 years old wood (pine, elm), which originates from old doors, roof rafters, planks, windows and other used timber. Each part of the timber is different in color, surface, and appearance. Thus resulting in the typical, distinctive patina. Only after a complex sorting process , including purification and careful pre-treatment of the beams, rails and boards, which have different thicknesses and surface textures the raw material can then be manufactured to an attractive piece of furniture. Connections of the individual parts of the furniture are made - where it is feasible - with dowels and pins. Nails are generally not used, because they cannot provide for a permanent and stable connection.. Where it is not possible to connect the wooden parts with dowels and pins, stainless steel bolts guarantee a permanent connection. The surface of the furniture is treated two times with a special outdoor oil made in Germany. This oil is manufactured based on renewable raw materials and according to EU regulations. It protects the furniture from UV light and ingress of moisture. In addition, it prevents infestation by insects or mildew. The items are ready for use without further treatment by the customer and require very little care. Every 2 years a light oiling with a soft cloth could be necessary, so that the surfaces are sealed again. Together with the cushions, which are covered with high-quality, easy to care AND UV-light resistant outdoor fabric innovative, unique products come into being. The manufacturer of the fabrics is granting a 5-year guarantee on the use of the fabrics in the outdoor area. Old timber is hand-crafted into new and attractive furniture with high practical value. The products of "reclaimed" therefore realize genuine „up-cycling" and are a contribution to the conservation of resources and the environment.
