Über uns
Dürfen wir uns vorstellen?
Vignoble Damanieu nestles on the hillsides overlooking the right bank of the Garonne. The Domaine spreads over 10 hectares of vines offering Bordeaux and Côtes de Bordeaux Appellations boasting over a millennium of wine production.
It was the Romans who first planted vines on the hillsides. Several centuries later, the English, famous wine lovers, made use of the extensive inland seas and waterways to export much of the production, thus contributing to the increased wealth of the villages.
Sir Amanieu VII owned the land between 1228 and 1326. This powerful Gascon lord was a member of the court both King Edward I and Edward II of England. He was the first in a long line of Gascon lords allied to the English to benefit from royal favour.
Vignoble Damanieu is delighted to share in this heritage. Using a combination of modern technology and traditional methods the team strives to offer you high quality wines unique to these appellations. The wine is bottled at the property under the brand "Château Amanieu d'Albret".
