Schock Logistics, Inc., based in Bend, Oregon, offers the safest, most efficient, and most environmentally friendly method of shipping sensitive electronics, particularly office and medical equipment, throughout the United States. Founded in 1992, the company expertly secures data and de-installs equipment onsite and provides air-ride shipping in specially engineered suspension trailers for gentle transit to its destination. Schock Logistics serves hundreds of copier dealers as well as national banks and leasing organizations, Fortune 500 firms, and thousands of small companies across the country.
For businesses required to abide by the data security standards of the U.S. Department of Defense, Schock Logistics offers several options. During the company’s standard hard-drive replacement, a technician removes the hard drive from a copier and replaces it with a pre-formatted blank hard drive within 30 minutes, rendering it fully functional. In premium hard-drive replacement, Schock Logistics provides the same service and also secures the hard drive in a lock box overnighted to a bonded and insured facility, where authorized personnel scan it for the serial number and shred it on time-stamped video. The company’s titanium hard-drive replacement and wipe service provides even more security, replacing the hard drive and wiping the network card, with certification provided.
Silicon Valley expatriate Spencer Schock started Schock Logistics in his garage. A graduate of Stanford University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, he previously managed accounts for the Eastman Kodak Company’s Products Division, including national clients such as IBM’s General Products Division. These experiences shaped the founder’s commitment to ingenuity, customer service, and advanced technology, values that Schock Logistics upholds.
Sharing its success, Schock Logistics assists the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Oregon, which teaches responsibility, leadership skills, and health and fitness to nearly 500 children in programs after school and during vacations. Several years ago, the nonprofit organization received a large donation from a major New York corporation, but could not afford to pay the shipping charges. Schock Logistics stepped in and covered the cost, and has continued to do ever since for the organization’s large shipments. A global citizen as well, Schock Logistics partners with Renewable Choice Energy to reduce its carbon footprint.
