Since the beginning of our business as Samsung Electro-Mechanics in 1973, we have been expanding our business area. From existing business such as TV Tuner, Wireless communication modules (BT, GPS, WLAN), TV/Mobile power modules, and IoT modules & products, SoluM’s Core IC design capability made it possible to start our ESL business in 2007 with our own manufacturing facilities.

Fastest Growth

SoluM started supplying ESL to Global Top retailers such as REWE, TESCO and METRO beginning in 2012. Over the past five years, we have grown fast and have now installed more than 50 million ESLs in over 30 countries and over 4,000 stores worldwide. We have gained a good reputation in the ESL markets (grocery, department stores, electronics, factory, warehouse and apparel store) through stable server and management software, diverse and differentiated product lineup, and prompt and active customer service.

ESL Technology Leader

SoluM successfully introduced the ESL market’s first E-paper display in 2011, graphic ESL tag in 2012, and 3-color ESL tag in 2015. We developed a Central Server to help retailers reduce infrastructure costs and were the first to deploy it in the market. Additionally, SoluM is the only ESL supplier to offer both a 2.4GHz and 900MHz RF system to provide a solution to any retailer’s RF environment. Since SoluM emerged in the ESL market in 2007, SoluM continues to lead ESL technology and product trends.

In-House Technology

SoluM utilizes its own designed/developed Core ICs (RF and Driver IC) for ESL. With 45 years of accumulated RF technology experience, we developed a proprietary communication protocol to build the most efficient and stable system.
