The determination and financial support of an entrepreneur from Milan and the patent owned by a researcher gave birth to a 100% Italian company that produces ground-breaking photovoltaic modules.

After a long testing period conducted privately, the modules were submitted for certification and a brand new manufacturing plant is ready to produce 70/80-wp PV modules for as much as 20 Mw in a year or more.

Innovation is represented by the development of a monocrystalline-base PV module with a structure that does not resort to encapsulation with “weak” materials like aluminium, of which EVA is made up. In fact it has appeared that this type of film deteriorates with the passing of time and cannot support high temperatures and low irradiation levels, thus resulting in a limitation of electrical energy production. The novelty is represented by the use of a gel that wraps and seals cells. This makes it possible to overcome temperature limits and decays and to deliver products that are likely to last more than 30 years.

The versatility of use of Sunergie PV panels allows for use both in traditional rooftop and ground-based systems.
