The firm's founder and principal, Jeffrey L. Solomon, has nearly 30 years of experience in complex business litigation, business restructurings and transactions in the State and Federal Courts of New York. Mr. Solomon has also appeared extensively in Federal Court proceedings in Texas, Wisconsin, Florida, New Jersey and Tennessee. Mr Solomon is admitted to practice in the New York State Courts, The Supreme Court of the United States; United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, U.S. District Courts for the Eastern District of New York, Southern District of New York and U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for those districts, as well as in the U.S. District Court for the, Eastern District of Wisconsin. Mr. Solomon has been admitted, on a pro hac vice basis in the State Courts of New Jersey and California.
Apart from being a top flight business lawyer and litigator, Mr. Solomon is a recognized leader in the legal community. Mr. Solomon was the Division I leader for the American Bar Association's General Practice, Solo and Small Firm Division (GPSSFD) for the 2009-2010 Bar Year, where he is responsible for working with other bar leaders for Planning, Finance, Leadership Training and Diversity issues for the Division. Mr. Solomon presently the GPSSFD's representative to the ABA Fund for Justice and Education, and a Member the West (Publishing) Advisory Board. Mr. Solomon is a former chairman of the GPSSFD's Bankruptcy Committee.
Mr. Solomon was published in the October 2008 edition of "Solo", the official publication of the ABA GPSSFD where he wrote a feature article on the role of small firms in large litigations. He has prepared and appeared on webinars through Thompson Reuters on topics such as "Lawyers, Leaders and Entrepreneurs", and in connection with DOAR Litigation Consulting, LLC, a well received webinar on "Electronic Discovery for Small Law Firms."
Mr. Solomon attended and graduated from Brooklyn Law School, and received his B.A. in Economics from Queens College.
