Winter Business Group, S.L. (WBG) was founded in 2003 by its managing director Aris Derksen (1963) who has been involved in the international wine business since 1989.

A member of Winter Business Group management joins the Board and/or MT of the winery and will continue to support the export business and be available to the winery management to help on any issue.

Our mission is to help our partners with the export sales and marketing of their quality wines in the key international wine markets, and to ensure substantial growth both in on-trade, wholesale, off-licenses and multiple retail.

Specialization

Winter Business Group are experts at bringing European and New World wineries to the main markets of Western Europe, to the USA and Canada and to South East Asia. WBG management consultants have access to decision-making executives at all mayor wine import companies, multiple retailers and state monopolies in these markets.

Investments

Winter Business Group manages a moderate seed fund for investment in young wineries and new wine related companies with a strong growth strategy for exports. Winter Business Group don't just invest in wineries, they partner with them. Arnon Grunberg Wines is one of WBG’s most recent investments.

Interim Management

Winter Business Group are the interim management consultants for the wine industry. We give you instant access to a senior ‘heavy-weight yet hands-on’ international manager, with a proven track record in the wine industry, matched to your needs.

WBG interim managers are typically hired for 3 to 9 months and help WBG's clients undergoing major change, trying to implement a critical strategy or looking to plug a critical management gap.

A winery may choose to pursue the interim management route because the role in question is not a permanent position or a permanent executive/manager cannot be found fast enough.
